Industry Innovators - Bayshore Recycling Corp.

Bayshore Recycling Corp (BRC), one of the largest recyclers in the Northeast, operates five major recycling businesses on a 52 acre waterfront property in Woodbridge, NJ, ranging from recycling concrete, asphalt, and brick into aggregate materials and remediating non-hazardous petroleum contaminated soils, to metals reclamation, to recovery of mixed construction and demolition debris. It will add a recycling facility for consumer electronics in 2011.

 

The company has wide ranging environmental interests. It has launched solar, wind and biomass initiatives that will power 100% of its operations by 2015. BRC is also a member of the New Jersey Renewable Natural Gas Group, a public private sector group identifying ways to jump start a waste-based “green fuel” industry in New Jersey.
