Paul Backalenick, Webmaster for Energy Vision since January 2009, is responsible for the design, development and on-going maintenance of the website, development and implementation of search engine optimization strategies, updates to the Facebook page, and performing any other Internet-related activities for the organization.

Paul worked for many years in the Information Technology (IT) field. In 2002, he founded Nexxite (www.nexxite.com), a web development and Internet consulting firm. He and his staff have built over 100 websites for a wide diversity of clients (artists, attorneys, non-profits and small businesses). Prior to starting Nexxite, Paul spent 15 years working at large consulting firms (Ernst & Young, Accenture, and Kurt Salmon Associates) as a Strategic IT Consultant to the healthcare industry.

Paul has a Bachelors degree from Brown University and two Master’s degrees (MBA from Boston College, M.Ed. from Boston University). He is an active supporter of environmental causes, particularly animal rights. “Nature must be preserved and protected in a world that is so heavily-populated and exploited by humans.” He belongs to the New York Turtle and Tortoise Society. Paul lives in Northern Manhattan where he volunteers as President of his building’s coop board. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, photography and travel.
