The MV 1 is not just any new yellow cab
for New York City

May 23, 2012

On May 23rd, the first new natural gas MV 1 went into service in New York City's Yellow Cab fleet. It was designed from the ground up for over 5 years to meet the needs of the transportation-disabled. (But it is also great for large groups, big dogs and lots of suitcases) . The MV 1 means a new day for the City's handicapped residents -- mobility, with comfort and, because it is natural gas powered, cleaner air. And the taxi's owner/driver will get thousands of dollars a year in cost savings from use of CNG fuel.

EV President Joanna Underwood with
Fred Drasner, Chairman of VPG, and NYC Taxi and Limousine Commissioner David Yassky
welcome the first natural gas MV 1 to New York City's yellow cab fleet.
